Try saving as png (my top favorite) or bmp might work tooįirstly, make sure you have installed the optional 64-bit Wintab driver for the Surface Pro 3, available here. See this tutorial (link goes to part 1 of 3 parts) for using FireAlpaca snap tools to improve drawing quality.Īlso tip! Don’t save as jpeg, this tends to reduce the quality. See this tutorial by YouTuber LeslieLu Marie for an example. They tend to zoom in, drawing on the tablet with large quick strokes drawn from the elbow and shoulder, undo as many times as needed, and keep their strokes to individual arcs, not entire outlines drawn with the hand and fingers as you might do with pencil and paper. Many professional artists will draw-undo-draw, possibly up to 8 times, possibly on every brush stroke. Some people like to work at a higher resolution than their final output, and resize down to smooth out imperfections and get finer lines than the actual working lines (note: might result in some loss of fine detail). In combination with a graphics tablet (a mouse replacement with a pen, not the same as iPad/Android tablets) you can get a high quality drawn line. Play with the Correction drop-down to smooth out your drawn ink lines. ![]()
